MODIFIED RULES

Law 3-Number of Players

Unlimited substitutions may be made, with the referee’s permission:

  1. After a goal has been made.
  2. At the beginning of the second half of play or prior to the beginning of an overtime period.
  3. At a goal kick by either team.
  4. Prior to a throw-in when the ball is in possession of the team substituting. The opposing team may substitute as well if the team in possession is making a substitution..

Limited substitutions may be made, with the referee’s permission, in case of stoppage of play for an injury (one-for-one basis for the injured player(s)).

7-Duration of the Game

U17-19: 90 minutes on Sat/Sun; 80 minutes on Monday
U16-19: 80 minutes
U15: 70 minutes*
U13-14: 60 minutes*

*Semi-Finals and Finals: U13-14 play 70 minutes (Sun. Chinn and Long Parks 2:00 and 4:00, Mon. Long Park 8:00 and 10:00); U15 play 80 minutes (Sun. Draper 2:00 and 4:00, Mon. Draper 9:45); U11-12 play 60 minutes.

Five minute halftime interval.

All games will be played with a running clock. The referee may add time for serious injuries or other incidents, including, but not limited to, deliberate time wasting. The referee is the official timekeeper and therefore all decisions regarding game duration are solely at the referee’s discretion.

Grace Period
A team shall be allowed a ten (10) minute grace period after the scheduled kick-off time before the match is awarded to their opponent. A minimum of seven (7) players constitutes a team and if seven (7) players are present, the game will not be delayed.

These rules do not take precedence over the Official WAGS Tournament Rules nor relieves officials from reading and knowing what is in the official rules. The official rules are final.
