Game reports MUST be filed the day of the game. Referees who fail to do so risk not being paid for their work. All referees have access to theArbiter.net and all reports must be filed using their game report feature. Where there is more than one referee, only the referee (middle) is required and permitted to submit a report.
- Log into www.thearbiter.net
- In the left panel, click on the hypertext link labeled Schedule (under header named Schedule)
- On the schedule page, locate and click on the red R in the Notes column. This will bring up the Game Report.
Important: If you do not see your game then check the box labeled Show All (under the Display Heading). This will display games in the past. The default view will display only upcoming games, in other words, games in the future.
- On the game report, there are three fields the referee must complete. All others must be left undisturbed.
- Score for each team
- Status of each official. The default is On Time and generally no adjustment is necessary. If a referee is Late or a No Show, you must also include known information, at least in the case of tardiness -- time arrived and reason.
- Comments -- This is the large text box beneath the referee information and must include some information.*
- DO NOT CHANGE THE STATUS OF A GAME. The only games you get paid for are normal games. If you change the status to forfeit, canceled, or rainout, you will not be paid.
- DO NOT ADD NOTES IN THE NOTE SECTION. This assignor adds notes to many games for the referees to see and does not click on this field to view notes, assuming they were placed there by him. Referees should add notes in the Comments field. If ARs wish for the assignor to see notes about a game those should be emailed to the assignor.
- Once the report is complete, click SUBMIT
- Once submitted, the referee cannot make changes to the report but must contact the assignor with changes.

*By including information you force the assignor to read your report then mark it verified. If you do not include information, the default is to verify your report and the assignor will not read it (not that there’s anything to read anyhow). But only games that are verified by the assignor will be paid at the end of the season. After submitting, the R should change to a yellow R. If it immediately changes to a green R then you have verified your own report. Contact the assignor and asked that the report be deleted so you can resubmit. Once the assignor reads and verifies your report this indicator will change to a green R.
