To all Referees -

The State Referee Committee is scheduling the following clinic dates for 2010 and the 2011 certification year.  While the dates may need to be adjusted, please plan accordingly regarding these clinics in the AREAS and MONTHS that have been established.    

•  Upgrade Clinic Grade 7 to Grade 6 – February 21-22, 2010 (location TBD)
•  Upgrade Clinic Grade 7 to Grade 6 – August 14-15 (location TBD)
•  Senior Recertification Clinic (Grades 7, 6, 5, 13, 15, 16)
        - July 2010 (date TBD) – location TBD   This clinic will be held at the conclusion of the VISOA Annual Clinic.  Senior Referees do not need to be a VISOA member to attend this clinic
        - Aug 07 2010 – location TBD but it will be in the WEST
        - Aug 21 2010 – location TBD but it will be in the NORTH
        - Sep 18 2010 – location TBD but it will be in the CENTRAL
        - Sep 25 2010 – location TBD but it will be in the SOUTH
        - Oct 02 2010 – location TBD but it will be in the NORTH
        - Oct 16 2010 – location TBD but it will be in the SOUTH
        - Oct 24 2010 – location TBD but it will be in the CENTRAL
        - Nov 06 2010 – location TBD but it will be in the NORTH
        - Nov 13 2010 – location TBD but it will be in the CENTRAL
        - Dec 04 2010 – location TBD but it will be in the NORTH
        - Dec 11 2010 – location TBD but it will be in the SOUTH

Senior Referees should note that beginning in 2010, the December clinics will have an additional $20 fee associated with them.  With 12 clinics scheduled for 2010 and posted well in advance, Senior Referees should not wait until December to re-certify.  The December clinics are intended to provide the State Referee Program management an opportunity to re-train Senior Referees who fail a previous clinic.  It will also accommodate those Senior Referees who choose to wait until the last possible time to re-certify, but it will cost those referees an additional fee as a penalty for not recertifying at an earlier clinic.  If a Senior Referee is taking the clinic as a make-up for a previous failure in one of the earlier clinics, he/she will not have to pay the additional clinic fee.
